Boothbay Region Democrats to gather April 13

Event has passed

The Boothbay Region Democratic Committee invites local Democrats and friends to a social gathering on Saturday, April 13, from 3 to 5 p.m.  This informal event will be held at the Rotary Hall, 66 Montgomery Road in Boothbay Harbor, and will feature good fellowship and stimulating conversation, along with light refreshments.

Since the very successful Democratic caucus on Feb. 4, many local Democrats have been asking how they can get involved in the coming election season. The April 13 get-together is our first post-caucus occasion to explore ways to support Democratic candidates and values on a local, state and national level. Perhaps you’d like to celebrate Windjammer Days by walking in the parade with fellow Democrats; or maybe you have a knack for sign-painting or writing letters to the editor. There are many opportunities to participate in grassroots organizing work in our community. What are your ideas?  Please come on April 13 to share them!

The Boothbay Region Democratic Committee represents the towns of Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb and South Bristol. The Executive Committee includes chair, Lucian Laurie; secretary, Leanne Pander; Boothbay vice chair Byron Cortez; Boothbay Harbor vice chair Kari Smith; Edgecomb vice chair Heather Sinclair; and South Bristol vice chair Dave Andrews. All Democrats in these communities and the greater region are welcome and encouraged to attend the April 13 event. An informal social hour from 3 to 4 p.m. will be followed by a brief business meeting to start planning activities for the coming year; then, more social time until 5 p.m.  Potluck donations of appetizers will be gratefully accepted, but are not required.

Your participation as a Democrat will make a difference!  Please join us as we begin this crucial 2024 election season.
