Bob McKay show at Damariscotta River Grill
New, never before seen oil paintings and illustrations by Robert B. McKay are on exhibit at the Damariscotta River Grill at 155 Main Street in Damariscotta. The 21 pieces, created last fall, depict his favorite subjects: nautical themes, from waterscapes to the working waterfront, boats and lobstermen. The show, which opened January 15 will be up through March 11.
McKay's works are hung on the front section of the first and second floors, as well as up the staircase. Most of the 21 works in the exhibition are 36 by 40 inches with some pieces 18 by 24 or 11 by 14, inches, which are priced between $500 and $2,500.
A second artist, Angela Anderson Pomerleau, shares the show with McKay. Although the show ends March 11, some of McKay's work will remain throughout April 29 with the next show, artists of Studio 53 Fine Art in Boothbay Harbor, John and Lynne Seitzer, Paula Ragsdale, Heidi Seidelhuber and Terry Seaman.
