Edgecomb woman arrested
On Monday March 16, Jennifer Becker, 49, of Old County Road in Edgecomb was arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Detectives on the charge of Furnishing a Schedule Z Drug (Marijuana) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Becker was charged after an investigation into a complaint that Becker had provided her own 13-year-old daughter with brownies containing marijuana. This complaint was received through the DHHS Child Protective hotline. After investigating and conferring with the District Attorney's Office, arrest warrants were issued for Becker and she was arrested without incident.
Becker was booked at the Two Bridges Regional Jail where she was later released on an unsecured bail pending an April court date. Becker is prohibited from having contact with her daughter pending her court date. The girl is currently staying with her father, Becker's ex-husband.
The lead investigator in this case is Detective Scott Hayden.
