Maine Media Women ‘haunted’ by Lady in the Red Cloak

Wed, 09/18/2013 - 4:30pm

Some of local history’s mysteries may be revealed when the Lady in the Red Cloak visits the October 5 meeting of Maine Media Women. The meeting will take place at the Mobius Center in Damariscotta from 9:15 a.m. to noon, and the public is welcome to attend.

The Lady in the Red Cloak (Sally Lobkowicz) is well known in Midcoast Maine for her “Haunted History” and cemetery tours in the area, especially in the weeks preceding Halloween. A teacher with more than 30 years of experience, and a seasoned genealogy researcher, Lobkowicz has taken her love for learning and delved into the world of mysteries: haunted mansions, lost treasures, undiscovered history and more.

Her popular Red Cloak Haunted History Tours are now in their eighth year, and Lobkowicz has recently created an international adventure enterprise called Mysterious Destinations, which will take people to far-flung parts of the United States and abroad to investigate paranormal phenomena and other mysteries.

Hear her stories and learn more at the MMW gathering on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Mobius Center on Main Street in Damariscotta. The meeting begins with coffee and networking at 9:15 a.m., and the program begins at 10 a.m. Suggested donations: $3 for MMW members and $5 for nonmembers.
