Master woodturner Lou Landry's woodworking has spanned over 50 years. His studio, Ocean Point Woodturning on Van Horn Road, features unique bowls and vases, both segmented and unsegmented wood composites consisting of many colors and textures.
This year, Landry's bowl draws attention to a Greek style motif in tribute to the Olympic games. The bowl will be auctioned off at the Boothbay Charities Classic auction on September 27 at the Boothbay Railway Village. The silent auction starts at 3 p.m. and the live auction starts at 6 p.m. under the big top. RYAN LEIGHTON/Boothbay Register
