Ocean Point Studio celebrates First Friday and its 22nd year
OCEAN POINT STUDIO Visions of Maine is celebrating its 22nd year by participating in the First Friday Art Tour, July 3 from 4 to 7 p.m., and by having an open-house reception and exhibit entitled “Summer is Finally Here."
Corinne McIntyre, a plein air painter, will feature her most recent landscape and seascape paintings of the surrounding area.
" ‘Seaweed at Hendricks Head beach’ was painted on the beach on Southport Island - a great place to paint,” said McIntyre. ”I have painted at this location many times, but this time I wanted to focus on the seaweed. It is fascinating to see the patterns the ocean creates when it rolls the seaweed onto the beach. A painter can spend hours just observing it. There is such an array of colors. Next time you are at the beach notice the seaweed and its beauty.”
You can see more of Corinne's work at www.corinnemcintyre.com.
The late Fred McIntyre's beautiful hand carved pottery will also be featured. Each work is unique and shows his special creativity. Fred’s work captures the colors, ruggedness and natural beauty of Maine.
Ocean Point Studio has both limited and open edition prints available also.
Come see the new work while enjoying some wine and refreshments.
Ocean Point Studio is located on the Van Horn Road (off Route 96) at Ocean Point, East Boothbay.
