Antique Auto Show
A delighted crowd gathered on the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library lawn for the annual Antique Auto Days parade along Townsend Avenue on Sunday, July 21.
According to Bob Ryan, executive director of the Boothbay Railway Village, which hosts the event, Antique Auto Days is the longest continuous running annual car show in Maine and possibly New England.
It began in 1964 when the Maine Obsolete Auto League (MOAL) was on tour in the area and stopped at the Railway Village during its construction stage.
MOAL organizers thought the tour should make Boothbay an annual stop.
