Starting with the Miss Shrimp Pageant, the 2015 Fishermen's Festival was a great success. Without the support of the contestants, parents, community and the volunteerism this would not of been accomplished. Hannaford supports March of Dimes
On Saturday, April 25 during the Fishermen's Festival, employees at Hannaford could be found outside raising money for the March of Dimes.
According to Evelyn Andrews, Hannaford associate relations manager, each Hannaford store raises money for charities during the year.
“(Associate) David (Steinmetz) has a connection with the Boothbay Fire Department, who were kind enough to donate their dunk tank for the event,” Andrews said.

Sophia Gudroe was crowned the 2015 Shrimp Princess during a the April 23 pageant held in the Boothbay Harbor Opera House. Gudroe, 12, of Boothbay was one of five pageant contests.
Gudroe performed a ballet dance during the talent portion of the pageant.
The first runner-up was Emilie Crocker, 11, of Edgecomb. She performed a dance with hula hoops during the talent competition.

Fishermen's Festival weekend 2015 just got a little louder: Mr. C's Foods and Spirits in Boothbay Harbor has booked the Dyer Neck Gang for Saturday, April 25.

During the weekend of Fishermen’s Festival, April 25 and 26, anyone who adopts a cat or dog from Lincoln County Animal Shelter will receive a $25 gift certificate to Two Salty Dogs Pet Outfitters in Boothbay Harbor.
“We tried to do this in January, but a huge storm hit and the animal shelter ended up being closed,” owner Don Kingsbury said. “It's time to try again and help the people that open their hearts and homes to an animal in need.”

Boothbay Region Lions Club: Fishermen’s Festival breakfast
The Blizzard of 2015 didn’t stop the Lions from holding the Jan. 28 meeting.
The meeting room was decorated in the Super Bowl theme by Lions Tom and Karen to help promote the current building fund fundraiser “Super Bowl Pool.” Most members took their usual seats not caring if their napkin was “Patriots” or “Seattle Seahawks” although a couple hesitated — all in good fun!
