District librarian Kerrin Erhard began the Donor Book presentation June 4 with the following quote from Maya Angelou.

"When I look back, I am so impressed again with the life-giving power of literature. If I were a young person today, trying to gain a sense of myself in the world, I would do that again by reading, just as I did when I was young."

Erhard said she was pleased to present the Frances D. Aley Donor Book Awards, a long time tradition at BRHS on Awards Night.

“It is because of the generosity of our community that we are able to give out these awards every year. We give thanks to the many donors who contributed to this year’s program. With each book given to a student, a book is also added to the high school library collection. Students are chosen by their teachers to receive a book which recognizes them for academic excellence.”
