Dear Editor:

On behalf of the youth basketball programs here in the Boothbay region, I believe I can speak for both the Wildcat and Seahawk fans in extending a sincere thank you to First National Bank and Conley’s Garden Center and Landscaping for their generous contributions towards the acquisition of new scoreboards, which will be located in the Boothbay Region Elementary School gym. This collaboration between both organizations was done to support the young athletes in our community.

First National Bank has supported my role as a basketball coach within the program even before I accepted a position with the company. It gives me great pride to work for a true community bank that supports my passion to develop young athletes in our region.

The Stover brothers and their families offered their contribution without hesitation when approached to be a part of this initiative. Both Ben and Tim grew up in our community, went through our school system, and recognize the importance of what athletics means to the kids of this community.

I can’t thank everyone involved enough for making this happen for our student athletes.
