Hunters Breakfast Oct. 28 at Boothbay Fire Station

Event has passed

The Boothbay Civic Association is hosting its first-ever Hunters Breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Boothbay Fire Station from 5 a.m. until the food is gone!

Organizers Kristen Brooks, Dawn Gilbert and other members of the BCA welcome everyone to the breakfast. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, fruit, coffee, orange juice, apple juice and cider water will be served.

“The food will be served buffet style and we are asking for $5 for each meal or by donation,” said Brooks.

Gilbert, a longtime member of the BCA which began in the early 1980s and has raised money for projects throughout the region, including the Boothbay Town Office, said the BCA has set it sights on raising money for bleachers at Clifford Park baseball field.

“We are hoping to get the BCA more active by holding fundraisers for the bleachers. We are always looking for people to join the association but the good news is that we had seven new faces at the meeting last month,” said Gilbert. “We hope to hold some suppers sometime this winter.”

Also, the BCA will once again light up Boothbay Common during the Christmas season.

“We will have the three lighted boats and new this year are lighted inflatables, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, a Santa Claus and one other character,” said Gilbert. “We hope to have a big tree to light and we plan other surprises for lighting the Common.”
