And the winner is ... Here’s another opportunity to win 10 more lobsters.  The drawing will be held on Aug. 29, just in time for Labor Day Weekend! Each Thursday morning, we will be selling raffle tickets at the Farmers Market during August, and, of course, you can purchase your tickets (lots of them) at The Community Center Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ticket prices are the same: one ticket costs $15, three tickets cost $30. Each ticket is potentially worth 10 beautiful lobsters donated by Atlantic Edge lobstermen.

Wow Hoo!  Bridge will begin the first Friday after Labor Day – Sept. 6! We would love to have a few more players sign up. If you or someone you know who might be looking for a game, please stop by or call The Community Center – 633-9876 – to help get this wonderfully challenging card game going once again.

Fraud! Scam! Ouch!  The Community Center along with Bath Savings Bank is offering for free a Fraud Prevention Seminar on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. As we all know, scammers are getting creative and pervasive. Please put Sept. 12, 12:30-2 p.m. on your calendar to come to The Community Center to benefit from this important opportunity to prevent getting “scammed!”

And here is some advance planning. Judy Milinowski will bring her Qi Jong class back to The Community Center this fall when the weather turns chillier. In the meantime, Judy is teaching her class at Spruce Point Inn on Monday and Friday mornings from 11 a.m. to noon. Come join her!

Also, there has been a request to reorganize art classes. Any kind of art – painting (water/acrylics/oil) on canvas, paper, glass, etc.  We’d like to develop plans for art classes.  Please call or stop by.  633-9876.  We’d love to rejuvenate this wonderful craft.

Our own Lucy Cressey will be here on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. to noon to help you Find Your Family. Come visit Lucy and learn how to do you own historical research about your roots. Always an adventure!

Last, but certainly not least, fresh vegetables arrive every Friday morning during the summertime. The veggies are very generously donated by Town Village Foodbank Farm and Veggies to Table.  Get your bag ready to bring over on Friday mornings until 2 p.m. during the summer!
