Paul Zalucky talk at Skidompha Library July 11

    Chats with Champions is proud to present Paul Zalucky on Thursday, July 11 at 10 a.m. in Porter Hall of Skidompha Library. Mr. Zalucky will talk about Ukraine from his perspective as a 28-year veteran of the CIA.

    Zalucky was a CIA Operations Officer overseas before retiring from its Executive Ranks. He has a unique perspective having served in Moscow, Kyiv, and Warsaw. Paul has traveled the region extensively and is in almost daily contact with Ukrainians, assisting them with their defense, security, and humanitarian needs. He is also a member of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council.

    Zalucky entered public service and worked for the Central Intelligence Agency beginning in 1982 and served in Moscow from 1984-86. He was involved in the operations highlighted in David Hoffman’s book “Billion Dollar Spy.” During those years, he served in positions of increasing responsibility and management. He also served on the Subcontinent and in the Middle East. In 2002, he was promoted to the Senior Executive Service in the Central Intelligence Agency, before eventually retiring in 2007. From 2008 to 2010, He was a Founding Partner of the Crumpton Group.

    Zalucky holds a B.A. in political science from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in international affairs from Georgetown University. He is fluent in Ukrainian, Polish, and Russian and maintains a Top Secret Security Clearance. He resides in Southport, Maine, with his wife Carole, when not traveling internationally.
