Keep an eye out this Windjammer Days for what could be the festival’s youngest crew. Six Boothbay Sea and Science Center students set sail with the schooner Tyrone June 24 as part of a new pilot program. The students will spend four days and three nights aboard the ship, where they will learn about marine science and sailing a large vessel as they travel around the Boothbay region. The 73-foot boat, built in 1939, will also be part of the Windjammer Days festivities in the harbor.
