On Sept. 14 at Bates College, 150 Special Olympics athletes took part in the State Tennis Competition. Travis Paine took a second place home for his skill competition. He has made good progress since last season.

Ronda LeConte and Valerie Giles both competed in level 5, the top level of singles play. Valerie did well in four games winning one and bringing home 4th place. Ronda, again, faced tough competition winning one of four games as well bringing home yet another 4th place.

All were pleased with improvements made. Good friends and people continue to make the event so much fun.
