A tradition that started several years ago is a gathering of Boothbay Region High School students planning to attend the junior prom. On Saturday, May 11, dozens of girls and boys dressed to the hilt continued the tradition before they left for a dinner date, ice cream, etc., and then to continue to the prom at Spruce Point Inn.
