Registration is open for Boothbay Region Historical Society's second Summer Speaker Series talk, “The Rice Brothers of East Boothbay” with Jon Dunsford on Thursday, July 11 at 4:30 p.m.

Local ship modeler Jon Dunsford has studied the history of the well-known Rice Brothers Shipyard. With direct support from Robert Rice, grandson of one of the founding brothers, Jon will tell its story.

Robert Rice has recently donated his personal collection to the Boothbay Region Historical Society. Jon will introduce the new collection and will also share both Robert’s models and two that he himself built this past winter as part of the celebration of this maritime heritage within our region.
