The Nor'easters Barbershop Chorus received their charter (to operate as a chorus) from the Barbershop Harmony Society in 1966. Barbershop music is very unique in that the arrangements are done very differently than regular choral music. 

The Nor'easters have held annual shows, originally called Parade of Harmony, in numerous locations. This year’s event on Saturday, Oct. 5 will be held at the Water Of Life Lutheran Church in Newcastle from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Also appearing will be the Windjammer Mixed Quartet, the ladies Ebb Tide Quartet, and the Water of Life Lutheran Church adult choir. 

Barbershop Chorus Director Kathy Robitaille shared a partial song list for the concert: “In the Still of the Night,” “This Guy's in Love With You,” “Blue Velvet,” “Get a Job,” “Y.M.C.A.,” “Stand By Me,” “Blue Moon,” “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” and “Chances Are.”
