An authentic life
Are you living a real, full life? Are you a happy camper? Do you begin and end your day knowing you’ve spent twenty-four hours being where you want to be, doing what you want to do, feeling fulfilled, nourished and complete?
Let’s take a stroll inside your day. You know, you begin to make decisions and choices the moment you put your feet on the floor after sleeping. You even make a decision to raise your head off the pillow. From that moment, you are in control of a positive or a negative experience. What’s it going to be? You’re in charge!
So, how do you go about beginning your day on a positive note? Maybe start with Yes! Yes, I am in control and I choose to have a positive day. Whatever comes my way I will choose a positive outcome. Think this isn’t possible? Try it. There is always an option, and it’s entirely up to you. It’s your choice. You own it! Appointments can always be rescheduled. Plans with friends can always be re-planned. You are in charge. It’s your life. Live it authentically!
The power of letting it go!
Our choice to hang on and replay unpleasant and/or troublesome events that we have little or no control over is a negative decision. Now is a good time to learn this little gem: “Let it go!” Mentally visualize the event, problem or whatever’s bugging you, floating away on gossamer wings – out, out, up, up and away! Gone. Next time you choose to share and relive your negative frustration yet again, remember, you took care of that. You made the wise decision to let it go!
However, there are things we cannot let go – situations that require our immediate attention with the added challenge of a decision that must be made – now. And so, after a thorough perusal, remind yourself of the beautiful gift of choice and your commitment to a positive outcome. You will naturally make the right decision.
Arming ourselves with the powerful tool of choice and the commitment to a positive outcome, we are well on our way to living an authentic life – filled with the promise of happier days and more meaningful relationships. It’s your choice.
