A woman was taken to Miles Memorial Hospital with minor injuries after an impact with a car July 11, according to Boothbay EMS Chief Dan Gardner. Gardner said the woman, possibly in her 20s, was struck by a car while riding her bike near the corner of Union Street and Townsend Avenue around 9:30 p.m.

He said the woman did not appear to have broken bones or serious injuries. However, he said she was taken to the hospital by Wiscasset Ambulance Service because all Boothbay crews were out on calls. Lincon County Sheriff Office deputies and fire departments were also at the scene.
