Boothbay beats Traip for first football victory
Boothbay travelled to Kittery Sept. 9 and won its first 8-man football game, 24-12, against Traip. Quarterback Aidric Canada rushed for two touchdowns and Slade Balsdon ran for another. Coach Ed Crocker praised his defense for a “strong defensive effort.”
Boothbay is now 1-1. Traip drops to 0-2.
Boothbay hosts undefeated Old Orchard Beach at 7 p.m. Sept. 15. OOB opened the season with wins over Traip (64-0) and Dirigo (54-0).
