The Boothbay boys basketball team easily defeated Telstar, 85-49, Friday at Porter Gymnasium. The Seahawks (11-2) were led by senior Hunter Crocker’s 32 points. Juniors Ben Pearce and Kaleb Ames also scored in double figures. Pearce scored 18 and Ames tallied 11. Other Seahawk scorers were Kaeden Davis with nine, Stephen Bennett with four, Sullivan Rice with three, and Matt Sullivan and Jordan Espeut with two each.
On Tuesday, Boothbay has an opportunity to avenge one of its two defeats this season. The Seahawks travel to No. 1 Winthrop (12-1). The Ramblers defeated Boothbay, 53-43, on Dec. 14 in Boothbay Harbor.
