Boothbay boys wallop Oak Hill
It was senior night for five Boothbay Region players Feb. 3. For Carter Babcock, Austin Campbell, Alex Smith, Dimitry Gosselin and Jacob Leonard, it was their last home game as Seahawks. But it was a memborable night for freshmen, sophomores and juniors, too, as everyone who suited up scored in Boothbay’s 85-53 victory over Class B Oak Hill.
Boothbay began the night in seventh place in the Class C South Heal point standings. Boothbay’s victory over Oak Hill looms large in the Class C South Heal point standings. Oak Hill (10-7) began the night in fourth place in the Class B South standings. Boothbay has one game remaining against rival Wiscasset on Tuesday, Feb. 8. The Wolvervines (9-8) are in eighth place in the Class C south.
Twelve Boothbay players scored in the victory: Campbell, 10; Kyle Ames, 20, five three-pointers; Gosselin, 3; Steve Reny, 4; Leonard, 14; Graham Bryer, 10; Nick Simpson, 3; Nick Morley, 2’ Jay Hasch, 2; Babcock, 3; Smith, 2; and Eli Gudroe, 12.
