Senior co-captain Kyle Ames scored 26 points, including five three-pointers, to lead the Boothbay Region Seahawk boys varsity to a convincing 84-42 win over the visiting Mt. Abram Roadrunners Wednesday night.
Ames was one of four Seahawks scoring in double figures as sophomore Hunter Crocker had 18, senior Cameron Crocker, 13, and senior co-captain Eli Gudroe with 10.
The Seahawks scored 34 third-quarter points to put the game away, as the Roadrunners had no answer on the offensive end. Nate Luce was Mt. Abram’s only double-figure scorer with 20.
Boothbay (1-1) will travel to Monmouth Friday, Dec. 15 to face the Mustangs.
