Coach I.J. Pinkham got the 600th win of his 40-year coaching career as the Boothbay Region Seahawks (10-4) defeated the Carrabec Cobras, 71-47, in North Anson Friday night, Jan. 22.

“It was a good win. They (Carrabec) played a tight zone and we struggled at times,” said Pinkham in an email.

Sophomore point guard Kyle Ames led Boothbay with 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Senior center Abel Bryer pitched in with 14 points, junior center Austin Campbell added 12 and junior forward Jacob Leonard had 11. Bryer had 14 rebounds while Campbell grabbed nine.

Dustin Crawford led Carrabec with 18 points.
