Boothbay defeats St. Dom's, 7-6

Senior Brenna Alley had three hits and drove in four runs as the Boothbay Region Lady Seahawks softball team (1-2) won its first game of the season, 7-6, over the visiting St. Dominic Saints (0-1) on Wednesday, April 29 at Perkins Field.
Sophomore Mackenzie Abbott had four hits and junior Nicole Rice added three in Boothbay's 15-hit attack. Rice was the winning pitcher and had seven strikeouts over six innings. Freshman reliever Jo Shaw pitched the final inning and had two strikeouts.
Boothbay will play at Winthrop (0-2) on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and travel to Rumford on Monday, May 4 to take on the Mountain Valley Falcons.
