In its closest game this season, the Boothbay Region High School girls varsity basketball team edged the host Mountain Valley Falcons, 37-33, in Rumford Tuesday night, Dec. 22.

The win improved Boothbay’s record to 7-0 and the team is in first place in the Class C South Heal point standings.

Freshman Faith Blethen led the scoring with 15 points, followed by sophomore Page Brown with 11.

Sydney Petri led the Falcons (5-1) with nine points.
