Boothbay football, cross country seniors honored at final home game
Eight football and five cross country seniors were honored Oct. 7 prior to the final home football game of the season.
Ryan Amaral is the son of Peter Amaral and Amy Henderson and stepson of Bill Goldenberg. He played two seasons. His post-graduation plans are undecided. Damien Torre is the son of Kierstyn Sprague and stepson of Corey Sprague. Torre played four seasons for Boothbay. He plans on joining the Maine Army National Guard and later attending college. Tyler Barter is the son of Molly and Jason Barter. He played four seasons. He plans on studying firefighting and fire science in college. Connor Wenners is the son of Patrick and Nichole Wenners. He played four seasons. Wenners plans on studying mechanical engineering in college.
Kayden Ames is the son of Kevin and Angel Ames. He played four seasons. Ames plans on studying kinesiology in college. Dylan Plummer is the son of Heather McDaniels. He played four seasons. He plans on attending college to become an electrician. Caden Royal is the son of Stacy Peters and grandson of Pam Peters. He played football for four seasons. He plans on studying criminal justice in college. Drew Meader is the son of Michelle Bouchard and Bernie Meader. He played football for four seasons. He plans on attending Maine Maritime Academy to study marine transportation operations.
In cross country, Payton Blagdon ran for Boothbay one season. His parents are Michelle and Michael Blagdon. He plans on studying business, electrical and carpentry in college. Ryan Clark ran cross country for four years. He is the son of Donnie and Sarah Clark. He plans on studying finance in college. Bryan Gagnon ran cross country for four years. He is the son of Ashley Gagnon and grandson of David and Debbie Gagnon. He plans on studying wildlife law and conservation in college. Gryffin Kristan ran cross country for four years. His parents are Brynne and Christian Kristan. He plans on studying engineering in college. Emma Markowitz ran cross country for three years. She is the daughter of Lisa and Steve Markowitz. She plans on studying public health in college on a pre-med track.
