Boothbay girls tennis wins two more matches
In a make-up match May 22 due to bad weather May 9, the Boothbay Region High School girls tennis team defeated Spruce Mountain at home, 3-2, in matches. The next day at home, Boothbay defeated Oak Hill, 4-1, in matches.
As of Tuesday, May 27, the BRHS girls (8-3) were seeded fifth in the Maine Principal Association's Western Maine Class C Heal point standings, just behind fourth place Winthrop whom BRHS would meet first in the playoffs if the seeding remains the same until the regular season is completed. Boothbay defeated Winthrop, 3-2, at home earlier in the season.
The Class C tournament is scheduled to begin June 3.
