The Boothbay Seahawks’ baseball nine were on the losing end of a 12-1 decision at the hands of the Mountain Valley Falcons in a make-up game at home May 17.
The visiting Falcons jumped on Boothbay starting pitcher Carter Babcock for five quick runs in the first inning and, despite a few late inning rallies, the Seahawks could not recover.
Outfielder Grant Giles drove in the sole run for Boothbay. The loss drops the Seahawks to 1-10 on the season.
