The Boothbay Region Baseball Association is currently soliciting sign ups tor the 2016 Farm League (T-ball) and Rookie League (Pitching Machine) teams. Boys and girls ages 4-6 (by April 30, 2016) are eligible to play Farm League; Boys and girls ages 7-10 (by April 30, 2016) are eligible for Rookie League. The BRBA serves the greater Boothbay region including Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb and Southport.

This year in particular, the BRBA is in need of parent volunteers to help conduct practices for both T-ball and Rookie League practices. Each group conducts practice two evenings a week (days, time and location to be determined) from early May through the end of the school year. No need to be an expert coach, just the desire to help kids have fun, learn the basics and enthusiasm for this great American game.

Sign-up sheets have been distributed throughout the area schools and will be coming home shortly with the kids. This year's fee is $25 per child. The fee includes shirts and hats for all participants. All boys and girls of eligible age are encouraged to participate and will not be denied participation due to lack of ability to pay. Signup sheets are due no later than Friday April 15.

The BRBA is currently also soliciting donations for team sponsors, scholarship funds and field equipment. However, any child aged 9-10 (as of 4/30/16) who does not make a Little League roster is welcome to join the BRBA Rookie League.
