BRES cross-country teams compete in Belfast
The Boothbay Region Elementary School cross-country team competed in Belfast at the Troy Howard Middle School running a smooth 2.14 mile course on a cloudy day Thursday, Sept. 26
The Boothbay girls ran a solid race placing third overall with a score of 107 behind Drinkwater (99 points), Lincolnville (35 points), Camden Rockport Middle School (22 points) and Troy Howard Middle School placing fourth with 123 points.
Boothbay’s Maddie Orchard ran her best race yet with a time of 16:20 placing 10th overall. Following Maddie were: Laura Chapman, 17:25; Rose Campbell, 21:11; Abby Orchard, 21:58; Sophie White, 23:09; and Maggie Halter 24:41.
Dominick Dow of BRES dominated the boys race placing first overall with a time of 13:24. Following Dominick from Boothbay were: CJ Savastano, 20:47; Sebastian Warren Burdin, 21:39; Colby Hicks, 24:06; Dylan North, 24:17; and Kolton Campbell, 25:19.
Camden Rockport Middle School took first place overall with 22 points, Lincolnville second with 62 points, Drinkwater with 103 points, Boothbay third with 118 points and Troy Howard Middle School fourth place with 121 points.
The team heads to Searsport this Thursday, Oct. 3 hoping to improve all their times.
