In the school’s first field hockey game since 2019 due to the pandemic and precautionary cancellations, Boothbay Region Elementary School defeated Oceanside Middle School, 4-0, in Thomaston Tuesday, Sept. 28.
Coach Charlinda Carlson’s team outmatched the young and inexperienced Mariners in the 7-on-7 contest. Goals were scored by Tatum French, who had two, Moriah Smith and Zuri Smith.
Boothbay’s roster includes eighth graders and tri-captains Abby Amaral, Tatum French and Ella Watts, Grace Campbell, Sophie White and Abby Orchard; and sixth graders Izzy Andreason, Olivia Carlson, Moriah Smith, Zuri Smith, Jessica Raburn and Addie Barter.
