The Boothbay Region High School cheerleading team came in sixth out of eight Class D schools in the regional competition held at Ellsworth High School on Monday, Feb. 6 and will now compete in the state competition in Augusta on Saturday, Feb. 11.

Team members include junior Sarah Kreft and freshmen Maddie Andreasen, Alex Hackett, Sarah Harris and Hannah Kreft. The team is coached by Michelle Barter.

The team will be performing its regional routine on Wednesday and Thursday at the school’s senior basketball games.
