Boothbay Harbor Planning Board

East side park to proceed with full application

Sun, 05/17/2020 - 12:00pm

Boothbay Harbor’s planning board approved two projects May 13: Joseph D. Doyle Living Trust at 61 Atlantic Ave., to construct a single-family dwelling; and, in a usage change, Harbor Crossing LLC,  to open a real estate office at the former Coastal Shipping at 14 Todd Ave.

The board approved Harbor Crossing’s application under the condition owner Dennis Hilton provide documentation of an easement held with a neighboring property. The easement would provide the board absolute assurance all parking spaces needed will be accounted for and that the agreement will be on file, said Code Enforcement Officer Geoff Smith.

MRLD Landscape Architecture + Urbanism Principal Mitchell Rasor continued pre-application talks with the board on the Boothbay Harbor Waterfront Preservation park. Rasor decided to continue with plans to present the full application at the next meeting.

The board will also begin pre-application discussions with Boothbay Harbor Maritime Foundation at 87 Atlantic Ave., at 7 p.m. May 21 via Zoom.
