Emily Mirabile and Joe Clark new co-camp directors for Camp Knickerbocker
The CLC YMCA and Boothbay Region YMCA are proud to announce Joe Clark and Emily Mirabile as the new co-camp directors for the upcoming season at Camp Knickerbocker. Both Joe and Emily are excited and grateful for the opportunity to bring fresh inspiration to Camp K’s operations and have plans to reinvigorate the program. Within those plans, Joe and Emily will strive to nurture and inspire campers, leaders and staff alike, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and commitment to the YMCA’s mission with activities that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Joe Clark began working for the Central Lincoln County YMCA in the fall of 2010 working with the students in the afterschool program. Joe has been a camp director for the CLC Y for four years and a co-camp director one year with the Boothbay Region YMCA at Camp Knickerbocker. As a senior program director, Joe oversees programs ranging from afterschool, youth sports, summer camps and special events.
Emily is currently the director of the arts and humanities at the Boothbay Region YMCA. She began her adventures in summer camps back in 2005 when Music Theatre Camp (MTC) was held in the Coastal Club Room at the YMCA. Since then MTC has grown to offer four, 2-week sessions where campers come together to rehearse and perform a fully staged musical. This summer Emily will continue to direct and oversee MTC as they bring to the stage Aladdin JR, Cinderella KIDS, Bugsy Malone JR, and Willy Wonka Kids! Additionally, she will join Joe in bringing enthusiasm and organization to the entire operation at Camp Knickerbocker, leading staff and youth in a fun and safe season of camp.
The Boothbay YMCA and the Central Lincoln County YMCA are committed to the healthy development of kids through a broad range of activities that impart positive values and build self-confidence while instilling the Y’s four core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Camp offerings this summer include Traditional Day Camp, Adventure Camp, Sailing Camp, Music Theatre Camp, Hip Hop and Broadway Dance Camps, Sports, Boating, Swimming, Digital Media, and Music Video! There is no place like the Y for kids during the summer. See you at Camp K!
