Five lacrosse and six track athletes honored during final home game
Eleven spring Boothbay Region High School athletes said good-bye May 31 as they were honored prior to the last home game of the school year. The six graduating track and field athletes are Riley Sullivan, Blake Erhard, Gerald Gagne, Emma Hodgdon, Cassidy Hicks and Cally Margaret. The five graduating lacrosse players are Maddy Barter, Hannah and Reagan Cola, Alexis Davison and Lilley Harris.
Sullivan participated in track for four years. She is the daughter of Peter and Kathryn Sullivan. Riley plans on studying nursing at the University of Maine. Erhard participated in track for four years. He is the son of Kerrin and Lincoln Erhard. He will study engineering at the University of Maine. Gagne participated in track for two seasons. He is the son of Chris and David Gagne. He will be studying liberal arts at Southern Maine Community College. Hodgdon participated in track for two seasons. She is the daughter of Tyler and Andrea Hodgdon. Emma will study illustration and design at the Massachusetts College of Art. Hicks participated in track for one season. She is the daughter of Dan Hicks and Taylor Eddy. She will study news media and communications at Husson University. Margaret participated in track for one season. She is the daughter of Wendy Boardman. She will study education at Southern Maine Community College.
Barter was a two-year member of the lacrosse team. She is the daughter of Beth and Sam Barter. She will study business administration and management at Central Maine Community College. Hannah and Reagan Cola are the daughters of Derek and Sharyn Cola. Hannah played lacrosse for four years. Reagan played one season. Hannah plans on joining the U.S. Coast Guard. Reagan will study fashion merchandising and marketing at Lasell College. Davison is the granddaughter of Charles and Ruth Balsdon. She will attend the University of Maine and study per-veterinary studies. Harris played lacrosse for four years. She is the daughter of Medea and Bruce Harris. She will attend Yale University and major in cellular, molecular and developmental biology.
