Foggy days, lots of progress
Last week, as we all know, we did not have the best sailing weather. In the morning class, the turnabout sailors continued to progress, specifically Sydney, Jackson, Casey, Peter, Delaney and Roy. The Optis continued to work on their basic skills such as knot tying and sailing maneuvers.
In the afternoon program, we had a foggy race day but everyone had a really fun time. 420 sailor Parker really took to the boat and progressed over the course of the week. Overall it was a productive week and the sailors are becoming more comfortable with their boat handling abilities. Sorry we do not have any official racing results to report seeing that we did not have nice weather.
We can report that on Monday night, we had a spectacular Ice Cream Social with featured flavors, chocolate and vanilla, and just about everything imaginable to decorate it with. We were happy to share the evening with many of the program's parents.
