The Hall-Dale Bulldogs got goals in the second and fourth quarters and went on to defeat host Boothbay Region, 2-0, in a Class C field hockey opener for both teams Friday, Sept. 2.
At 3:46 of the second quarter, Mira Skehan scored from just in front of the goal after a save on a shot by Boothbay goalie Abby Amaral.
The teams played evenly throughout the second half before Faith McDougal scored with just over a minute (1:04) to play.
Both teams had nine penalty corners and Amaral had three saves. Hall-Dale’s goalie had two saves.
The Seahawks are next scheduled to play at Telstar on Monday, Sept. 5 at 3 p.m.
