Getting to the ocean was one of the best ways to keep cool Thursday, June 20, the first day of summer, as the air temperature rose to above 90F with a heat index nearing or exceeding triple digits.
Here we took some time to get to the ocean to chronicle what people (and pets) were doing at Barrett’s Park in Boothbay Harbor and Hendricks Head Beach in Southport.
