Learn more about Boothbay region history
If you want to learn more about the history of the Boothbay region this summer, what better way than to give the Boothbay Region Historical Society help greeting visitors? It is a lot of fun and extremely interesting! You will learn about early settlers to the region, the importance of shipbuilding, the lives of ship captains, and more. You will greet visitors to the museum from all over the country.
They are looking for volunteers who can give two hours a week to the fascinating world of local history on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, from either 10 a.m. to noon, or noon to 2 p.m., or 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in June, July, and August. If you can only do one of those months, they are flexible. They will train you. If you have questions, or would like to help, please email Kathy at boothbayhistoric@gmail.com.
