Thursday’s heat dome, with temperatures in the 90s, culminated with lightning and some rain as the sun was going down. Here, contributing photographer Michael Leonard caught the lightning in the sky from the east side of Boothbay Harbor around 6 p.m. He said the lightning appeared about every 30 seconds for a while.
