Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: 7 arrests

    The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 216 calls for service for the period of May 21 to May 28. Year to Date, LCSO has responded to 4,833 calls for service.

    Summonses

    Joseph M. Eaton, 35, of Wiscasset was issued a summons May 23 for Assault, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton.

    Henry D. Thompson III, 38, of Jefferson was issued a summons May 25 for Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked, on Atlantic Hwy, Waldoboro, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.

    Arrests

    Joshua M. Bagley, 42, of Damariscotta was arrested May 21 for Violation of a Protective Order, on Recreation Pkwy, Damariscotta, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.

    Alan T. Thornton, Jr., 50, of Whitefield was arrested May 24 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Penny Lane, Whitefield, by Sgt. Scott Hayden, who was assisted by Sgt. Kevin Dennison.

    Benjamin R. Smith, 30, of Dresden was arrested May 24 for Terrorizing, on Blinn Hill Road, Dresden, by Sgt. Scott Hayden, who was assisted by Sgt. Kevin Dennison.

    Anne Marie Fogg, 54, of Bristol was arrested May 24 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.

    Sumner C. Keith, 31, of Nobleboro was arrested May 24 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Center Street, Nobleboro, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.

    Felicia Giles, 43, of Edgecomb was arrested May 24 for Assault and Violating Condition of Release, on Back Narrows Road, Boothbay, by Sgt. Scott Hayden, who was assisted by Sgt. Kevin Dennison.

    Adam R. Giles, 32, of Boothbay was arrested May 26 for Terrorizing and Violating Condition of Release, on Butler Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.

    Accidents

    On May 21, an accident occurred on Main Road on Westport Island involving Jason A. Kates, 52, of Westport Island. Mr. Kates was operating his 2023 Tesla Modely northbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

    On May 21, an accident occurred on McKay Road in Edgecomb involving Robert Harvey, 31, of Boothbay. Mr. Harvey was operating his 2006 Mini Cooper westbound when he came around the corner, crossed the centerline, went off the roadway on the left, hitting a rock wall before becoming airborne and landing in a field. It appears he was traveling too fast around the corner. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.

    On May 21, an accident occurred on Corey Lane in Boothbay involving Katherine Darling, 57, of Tucson, Arizona. Ms. Darling was operating her 2024 Mazda eastbound when a deer ran left to right into her vehicle, causing functional damage. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.

    On May 23, an accident occurred on Commercial Street in Boothbay Harbor involving Alija A. Sejdic, 42, of South Portland and Ross Branch, 47, of Boothbay. Mr. Sejdic was operating his 2020 Freightliner MT45G southbound and Mr. Branch was operating his 2007 BMW 3-Series behind Sejdic’s vehicle. Sejdic stopped near Wharf Street and advised he was following his GPS and missed his turn. Sejdic began backing (northbound) and struck Branch’s vehicle in the front end, causing disabling damage to Branch’s vehicle. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.

    On May 23, an accident occurred on US Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Angelo D. Pappagallo, 71, of Newcastle. Mr. Pappagallo was operating his 2012 Toyota Tacoma southbound when a deer ran out in front of him. Mr. Pappagallo attempted to stop/avoid the deer but was unable to do so, striking it with the passenger’s side corner of his vehicle. Deputy Nathaniel Aronson was the investigating officer.

    On May 24, an accident occurred on Academy Hill Road in Newcastle involving Stephanie T. Cheney, 44, of Newcastle. Ms. Cheney was backing her 2019 Toyota Highlander in the parking lot when she backed into a light pole fixture. Deputy Mark Fortin was the investigating officer.
