Local umpires association honor Pascal, White for decades of service

The Mid-coast Board of Umpires Association honored two retiring members for their decades of service. The association presented Bob Pascal of Boothbay Harbor and Walter White of Waldoboro with plaques Oct. 2 during its fall business meeting in Thomaston. Pascal began umpiring in 1962. He joined the local umpiring association in 1992 after moving to Boothbay. White became a board member in 1976. Neither worked games this year.
