Dear Editor:

This Memorial Day marks the passing of the last living veteran on the East Boothbay War Memorial, Paul B. Adams. We salute you Paul for your service as we honor all of our service men and women. Never forget – all gave some and some gave all.

To my fellow veteran friends, Stott, Fran, George, Roger, Linc, Miles, Phil, Barry, Jim, Bill — just to name a few — thank you all for your service and all you do to remember those who gave their all.

The flag flying in East Boothbay on Memorial Day 2024 was first flown in Pearl Harbor. Today it flies to honor all veterans, first and foremost my dad, Frank S. Dodge, his brother Maurice S. Dodge and my good friend, Paul Adams.

God bless all our veterans, past, present and future, for their service to our country and their communities.
