Adam White’s new novel, “The Midcoast,” takes place in Damariscotta, Maine. It is the story of a family of lobstermen who skyrocket from poverty to wealth, a local writer obsessed with their rise, and the small-town secrets that bind them all together.

Meet the author and hear about this new novel Saturday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. at Southport Memorial Library, 1032 Hendricks Hill Road. Refreshments will be served.

White grew up in Damariscotta. He  He now lives with his wife and son in Boston where he teaches writing and coaches lacrosse. He holds an MFA from Columbia University.
