News and notes from the Community Center
Now that I have returned from vacation and getting back into the swing of things, I’ve been requested to ask for your help. We are searching for a gently used laptop, less than eight years old, as our public laptop is on its “last legs.” It doesn’t need to have all the bells and whistles – just the ability to connect to the internet and do some word processing. We would be very grateful for a Mac or PC.
Spring is upon us. Yea! Last Saturday was a great teaser with warmish, sunny weather. Let the yard work begin…
We at The Community Center hope you all have a wonderful Easter Sunday, March 31. Take time to smell the blooming flowers.
This may be the last time we can promote free tax preparation. Hopefully, Midcoast Ca$h still has appointment times available for April 2, the last day they will be at the Boothbay Town Office. Otherwise, they may still have appointments available at their locations in Wiscasset and Bath. If you would like help with your taxes, we’d be happy to make an appointment for you. Midcoast Ca$h will be holding 1 more day of free tax preparation, Tuesday, April 2, at the Boothban Office, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointments are a must. If you’re interested, we will help you with the sign-up process at The Community Center. Alternatively, you can make your own appointment by calling 207-295-6340 or 207-751-3756; or email midcoastcash@uwmcm.org, or visit the following website: www.eznetscheduler.com/calendar/midcoastmaineCASH.
