Wow!  It’s steamy outside!

We had a wonderfully successful Pie/Bake Sale on July 2 despite the heat and humidity. A big thank you to our bakers, supporters, and volunteers. We could not do it without all of your very generous help.

As you know, we held a Lobster Raffle in June, and the winning name was drawn on July 2. Congratulations to our friend Alice Grant! Not to worry even though this lobster raffle is completed. We are going to hold another one beginning next week. I’ll keep you posted with the details.The drawing will be held on Aug. 29, so there’s lots more opportunity to win 10 free lobsters, generously donated by our friends at Atlantic Edge Lobsters.

And don’t forget that our wonderful Lucy Cressey is available on Saturday, July 20, to assist you here at the Community Center with Finding Your Family history.

Fresh vegetables arrive on Friday mornings. The veggies are very generously donated by Town Village Foodbank Farm and Veggies to Table. Get your bag ready to bring over on Friday mornings until 2 p.m. during the summer!

Monday, July 15: Drop-in Knitting 10 a.m.-noon; Inner Peace 1-2 p.m.  

Tuesday, July: 16 Mah Jongg 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  

Wednesday, July 17: Cribbage 12:30-2 p.m.

Thursday, July 18: Mexican Train Dominoes and Cribbage 10 a.m.-noon; Bingo! 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Friday, July 19: Scrabble and Rummikub Noon-2 p.m.

Saturday, July 20: Finding Your Family  9 a,m.-1 p.m.

Puzzles, coffee, tea, goodies, and good camaraderie are always available all week long. Please save us from eating too many goodies ourselves by coming in and sharing our snacks. And we always welcome new faces and fresh ideas!
