Junior co-captain John Hepburn scored 29 points in three quarters and led the Boothbay Region High School boys’ varsity basketball team to a 75-41 victory over the visiting Monmouth Academy Mustangs December 14. The game had been rescheduled due to the impending snowstorm Saturday night.
Evan Hepburn, John’s twin brother, added 10 points.
Boothbay (2-1) led 68-29 after three quarters and Coach I.J. Pinkham then emptied his bench for the final quarter.
Marcques Houston led Monmouth (2-2) with 18 points.
The Seahawk junior varsity defeated Monmouth, 62-30.
