The Boothbay Region High School Seahawks swim team competed in 13 out of 22 events at their most recent meet against the Winslow Raiders and Lincoln Academy Eagles.

First places went to Evy Case in the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard breaststroke.

Second places went to Lincoln Hamblett is the 200 yard freestyle, Samantha Carter in the 500 yard freestyle, Nicole LaBrecque in the 100 yard backstroke, and the team of Hamblett, LaBrecque, Case and Emma Pearce in the 200 yard freestyle relay.

Third places went to Carter in the 200 yard IM, Chris Groneng in the 50 yard freestyle, LaBrecque in the 100 yard butterfly, Brenna Alley in the 100 yard freestyle, the team of LaBrecque, Hamblett, Case and Pearce in the 200 yard medley relay, and the team of Jaime Wheeler, Genevieve Taylor, Molly Thibault and Carter in the 400 yard freestyle relay.

The Seahawks will have their final meet on Friday, Jan. 30 at the Boothbay Region YMCA. It will be the last opportunity for swimmers to make qualifying times for states, which take place on Feb. 14 and 16 at the University of Maine at Orono.
